Gender reassignment

If you are applying for certificate replacements as a result of undergoing a gender reassignment, we can provide you with a certifying statement of results in your new name.

There is no charge for this service, but please note that our online system requires all applicants to enter debit/credit card details for initial pre-authorisation.

We're unable to provide a timescale for the completion of individual applications, so please don't contact us requesting an update.

As well as completing the online application form, you will need to provide the following:

• Two forms of identification in your new name, one of which must confirm your current address. For example, your current passport or photo card driving licence, together with a copy of a recent bank statement or utility bill (no more than 3 months old). 
• Proof of your name change, for example a copy of your deed poll, statutory declaration or similar official documentation, showing both your previous and current names. 

Ensure these items are scanned in an image format (jpg, png or gif) so that they can be uploaded to the application form.

Complete the online application form, ensuring you complete all mandatory fields. You will need to provide credit/debit card details, but we will not charge you for this service (unless you request overseas delivery or tracked mail delivery in the UK, in which case a standard charge for delivery will apply).
