Use our Cambridge Nationals raw mark to UMS converter to convert raw marks to UMS marks for any unit from the available series. You can:
For more information about raw marks, UMS and how grades are calculated, please see our guide to calculating your grade.
GCSE, AS and A Levels are linear qualifications and do not use UMS so are not included in this converter.
First choose your unit by selecting the qualification type, series, qualification and unit from the dropdowns.
Raw marks and UMS marks for grade boundaries for your chosen unit will be shown here.
Now select a tab to convert raw marks to UMS marks using the method of your choice.
Choose how many scores you want to convert (up to 50 - you can change this at any time), and enter values to convert.
NB it is not possible to directly convert a UMS mark back to a raw mark as sometimes there are multiple raw marks for each UMS mark. You can, however, use the 'Show all scores' tab, to see what raw marks correspond to a UMS mark.
Choose a CSV file to upload and convert. You will be able to download the results.
The CSV file should consist of two columns: 'Candidate' and 'Raw score'. The 'Candidate' column should include a candidate identifier such as a name or student id, and the 'Raw score' column should contain the candidate's raw score for this unit. See this sample file for an example.
NB: If you upload a CSV file, please note you are not uploading data to OCR's servers or transferring any data across the internet. All processing of the CSV file is carried out in your browser.
