Certifying statement of results

If you need to send proof of your results to another educational institution (usually overseas) before you receive your final certificate, you can apply for a provisional certifying statement of results. You’ll need to complete the application form online. We will then search for your records and send you, or your chosen educational institution, a provisional certifying statement of results.

This service is available for the June series only. Applications received before results day of the June series will be despatched on results day. Applications received after this date will be processed within 7 working days. Check with your school or college for advice on when result release dates are. 

You must submit your application before mid-September in order to receive your provisional certifying statement of results within 7 working days. Applications received after mid-September will be treated as a standard certifying statement of results application.

Please remember, there is no need to submit an application for a provisional certifying statement of results if you are applying to UK universities. We send all our results to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in time to meet university deadlines.

We're unable to provide a timescale for the completion of individual applications, so please don't contact us requesting an update.

Step 1: Provide identification

Before you start your online application, you need to prepare your identification:

• We require identification which shows your current name and date of birth. Acceptable forms of identification are scanned copies of your birth certificate, the photo page of your passport or identity card or your photo driving licence.
• If your name has changed since you sat your exams, you must also provide a scanned proof of your name change. eg deed poll.

Step 2: Complete the online application

Make sure you complete all mandatory fields marked with an asterisk. These include:

• Your name and contact details – You have the option to specify a separate delivery address(es) at the end of the application.
• The name and full address of your school/college
  
• The year and month of your exam(s)

We base our search on the information you have provided. Be as accurate as possible when completing the online form, as otherwise your application may be delayed.

Step 3: Fees and payment

Payment for this service must be made by credit or debit card.

• The fee for this service is £60.00 per series (a series is a set of exams taken in the same period, such as all your A Levels taken in one summer sitting). 
• You will receive an immediate email confirmation to say we have received your online application. Check your spam folder if you don't receive this.
