Students using a scribe or speech recognition technology can access some or all of the marks available for spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG) if there is evidence it is their work.
Students using a word processor as a scribe can access some of the marks available.
A JCQ scribe cover sheet (available from Access Arrangements Online) must be completed for every student using approved access arrangements. This cover sheet must show what was dictated or, if the student was using a word processor as a scribe, which word processor facilities were used.

Students using a word processor as a scribe cannot access marks awarded for spelling but can access marks for punctuation and grammar as follows:
If students have predictive text/spell check and grammar check disabled, they are not using the word processor as a scribe.
