If your centre-assessed marks have been accepted without change, this service is not available.
A service 3 post-results review of moderation is a review of the original moderation to ensure the assessment criteria have been fairly, reliably and consistently applied.
This service is not available for individual candidates. Requests must be made by unit/component, for all candidates at your centre who have submitted centre-assessed work.
For all qualifications, reviews can be submitted at unit or component level, where applicable.
For clerical checks and reviews of marking, you will not be charged for your review if the certification grade changes or, for unitised qualifications, if the unit grade changes. For reviews of moderation, you will not be charged if your centre marks are reinstated.
We’ll send an invoice when the review is complete. Invoices will usually be sent in the following months:
A more detailed explanation of our charging policy can be found below. For a full list of charges, see our fees list.
Physical Education: reformed GCSE, AS and A Level.
If we do not receive a copy of your moderation day filmed evidence, it will not be possible for you to have your moderation outcome reviewed for this component.
All reviews must be submitted via Interchange. You need either the centre administrator (GQ) or post-result full access (GQ) role to access the relevant areas.
For help on getting started with Interchange, or updating your user roles, see our Interchange pages.
As part of our work to increase our security arrangements, we’ve added two-factor authentication (2FA) to our secure website, Interchange. This means we’ve changed the way you log into Interchange. For more information, see our Interchange page.
To request a review:
If you have requested a service 3 review of moderation, only candidates who have been affected after the review will be listed in this section.
When requesting your review of moderation on Interchange, make sure you tell us whether the original coursework sample has been returned to you. Simply tick the box ‘Is your centre in possession of the original sample?’. If you have the work, and you don’t tell us, it could delay the outcome of your review.
Please see our key dates page for the relevant deadlines.
If you are working as a consortium (see consortium arrangements), the consortium co-ordinator must submit a review of moderation on behalf of the whole consortium.
We will then contact the consortium co-ordinator to ask each centre within the consortium to give their consent for the review to go ahead.
Once you have submitted your request via Interchange, we will send you further instructions. Make sure you have the original moderation sample ready for despatch when you submit your request.
You will receive your outcome within 35 calendar days. This period begins when the work is received by the reviewing moderator, not when the request is made.
Once you have submitted a review of marking or moderation, if you wish to amend or cancel your request:
If you request a cancellation and it is accepted, you won't be charged.
If you change your original request, e.g. from a review of marking to a priority review, the relevant fee will be applied.
If you still have concerns following the outcome of a review, see our appeals page for more details:
