For students considering higher education, Cambridge Technicals provide a proven path to a university place. They provide the same UCAS tariff points as A Levels or BTECs and more and more universities are realising the value of high-quality vocational qualifications. There are 76% (4475) more UK 18 year old applicants holding Cambridge Technicals in 2019 compared to 2017 figures. Our statistics from 2019 show that:
- The number of universities who made an offer to candidates who had a Cambridge Technical as part of their application has increased to 86% in 2019 and 17% were accepted to Russell Group universities
- 95% of Cambridge Technical students applying to university received at least one offer.
Anyone thinking of applying to university should research potential institutions and courses carefully as entry requirements vary a lot. We have provided a few options on the types of courses available, but there are many others to choose from. See our hints and tips for more information.
Remember that, like any other university application, there are many variables. As well as the admissions policy, it can depend on the combination of subjects you are studying, the degree you are interested in and the popularity of the course.
