Results information 2016 - what's available when?
05 August 2016
Whether you are a teacher, student, exams officer or parent, results time is getting closer. Every single result is important to us and we are working hard to ensure every candidate gets the results they deserve for their exam performance. Here’s a quick summary of the key information you need on and around results day.
AS/A Level, Cambridge Technical and other Level 3 results
Results are released to students on Thursday 18 August 2016 (and released to schools and other centres on Wednesday 17 August).
GCSE, Cambridge National and other Level 2 results
Results are released to students on Thursday 25 August 2016 (and released to schools and other centres on Wednesday 24 August).
Queries about a result?
On results day, if you have a concern about a result, there’s a number of post-results options available. Students should talk to their teacher or exams officer about what the best option is for them.
UMS and raw mark grade boundaries
This information is available on our website 24 hours before exam results are released to students. Find out more here. We’ve also got a handy raw mark to UMS converter this year too.
For new standalone AS Levels results, there are no UMS marks as these are linear qualifications and all the components of the new AS are taken at the same time. To help students and teachers understand how performance in a particular component contributed to the overall grade, we are producing ‘illustrative’ or ‘notional’ grade boundaries at component level which will show what grade the mark would equate to. Read our blog to find out more.
If you are a student or parent, here's the key results information for you. If you are a teacher or exams officer, click here.
To help teachers learn more from their students’ exam results, OCR has a free results analysis service, Active Results, which offers over 19 different reports to help analyse exam performance.
And lastly, our Customer Contact Centre will be open from 7am to 5.30pm on results days. Contact 01223 553998 or email: general.qualifications@ocr.org.uk.
