Moving forward with Cambridge Technicals results
20 August 2020
We communicated on Tuesday that Cambridge Technicals students would get results based on centre assessment grades submitted by their teachers or calculated grades we had awarded if they were higher. This is so students aren’t disadvantaged compared to A Level or GCSE students.
We want to let you know we’re now planning to issue our revised Cambridge Technicals results on Tuesday 25 August. These will be overall qualification grades. To make this happen, we’ll be running our final quality checks throughout the weekend. We will provide confirmation about releasing our Cambridge Technicals results on Monday.
To help manage Cambridge Technicals results, we’ve provided a new results report today which shows the unit level centre assessment grades and the final unit grade we have awarded to students. This final unit grade will be either the centre assessment grade or the grade we calculated, whichever is higher. This report is now available on our secure website, Interchange.
We will provide a further update on Monday but please be assured that when we re-issue results, no student grades will be lower than those originally issued.
If you have any queries, including about the new unit level reports we’ve published today, please call us on 01223 553998 or email at general.qualifications@ocr.org.uk.
