From Heston Blumenthal to African Kingdoms: the next edition of OCR Agenda magazine is here!
12 November 2015
In this issue you can read how OCR is working with Heston Blumenthal to support its new Food Preparation and Nutrition GCSE for 2016. We ask Ian Pryce, Principal of Bedford College - one of the largest FE colleges in the country - why he likes working in education and what the greatest challenges facing colleges like his own are.
We've got feedback from Julie Curtis, a teacher at a Berkshire secondary school, about teaching a new topic on OCR’s A Level History - African Kingdoms - which the school has introduced this September. "It is good to be teaching something really different… Students taking it will really stand out when they apply for university.”
All this, plus the rise of our Level 3 Cambridge Technicals vocational range, which is backed by employers and available in 4 flexible sizes up to a maximum of 720 hours, a simple new video to explain marking and grading, workshops targeting English skills up to Level 2 and a snapshot of some other new GCSEs and A Levels coming into classrooms from September 2016.
