Apply for an OCR Bursary now!
28 February 2019
Are you a West Midlands student planning to go to Cambridge University this autumn? If so, did you know that we offer a bursary worth £3000 a year for the lifetime of your undergraduate degree course? The £3000 can be used towards your tuition fees, living costs or for a combination of both. This is the 16th year that we have supported up to ten students who are off to Cambridge University.
Here are some of the comments from students who are currently studying at the university, supported by our bursary:
"I'd really like to thank OCR for the Cambridge bursary I received this year. It's an excellent scheme that I have truly benefited from."
"The bursary has helped me not worry about finances, and allowed me to concentrate fully on getting everything I can out of this wonderful university. I would definitely recommend applying for it."
"It was a great weight off my mind to have my college bill covered. I found the bursary has allowed me to engage in extra-curricular activities that it would not otherwise have been financially possible for me to participate in."
"It means not having to think twice about making healthier lifestyle choices which might necessarily be more expensive, in the way that I usually would."
To apply, please fill in the application form on our website, together with your school or college. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 7 May 2019. If your application is successful, we will be in touch in August 2019 when your place at Cambridge is confirmed.
The bursary fund arises from our historical association with the West Midlands Examinations Board. OCR is part of Cambridge University's international exams group which incorporated the West Midlands Board at one time. As well as offices in Cambridge, we have had a base in Coventry for more than 25 years.
