Advice on potential rail strikes
01 June 2015
In the light of recent announcements regarding the potential of national rail strikes, OCR would like to remind schools and colleges that advice is available on the appropriate action to take in the event of disruption to exams.
The joint contingency plan, which is available from the Ofqual website, is designed to ensure a consistent and effective response to any major disruption to the examination system in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Disruptions could include severe weather, widespread illness, travel disruption or system failures. If, after reading the Ofqual guidance, you need any further advice on this issue, please get in touch with the OCR Customer Contact Centre on 01223 553998 or at general.qualifications@ocr.org.uk.
If you are a student or parent concerned about how the potential rail strikes could affect you, please contact your school or college.
