Arranging your OCR PE moderation visit
21 February 2024
This update was first published on 16 January 2024. On 5 February 2024, we confirmed the PE activity marks submissions forms for the June 2024 series are now available, see our subject update.
We can confirm the June 2024 series visit arrangement form is now available for the following qualifications:
- Entry Level Physical Education R463
- GCSE Physical Education J587
- AS and A Level Physical Education H155/H555
This must be submitted by 21 February 2024.
The visit arrangement form is available from OCR PE Submissions, a new area within our single sign-on service, My Cambridge. We've provided details below on how to submit the visit arrangement form and a summary of all the centre assessment arrangements.
Submitting the visit arrangement form
Getting set up
To access the form, exams officers need to give access to the person responsible for arranging PE moderation visits – usually the Head of PE.
They will need a My Cambridge account and the ‘PE Submissions: Access’ user role to access OCR PE Submissions.
Instructions on how to do this are available on our website.
Accessing the visit arrangement form
Log into OCR PE Submissions. You can either do this by logging into My Cambridge at sso.cambridge.org and clicking on the ‘OCR PE Submissions’ tile or by going directly to OCR PE Submissions at pesubmissions.ocr.org.uk/.
After you log in, you will see a Welcome page. Choose ‘Go to visit arrangements’ and select a qualification. You need to complete a form for each qualification you offer.
Completing and submitting the form
The form will ask you for the following information:
- The name and contact details of the PE moderation contact – the moderator will use these details to get in touch with you.
- Dates your centre is unavailable for the visit to take place.
- Whether your school or college is able to host other schools and, if so, the address of the moderation venue and facilities you have available.
- The activities you are planning to assess.
You can then save or submit the form.
You can save and return to the form at any time before you submit it.
When you have submitted the form, it will no longer be available to view so you may wish to take screenshots of the relevant screens.
Your school or college can only submit a form once – if you need to make any changes to your visit arrangement details, please contact us at support@ocr.org.uk.
Confirming the visit date with your moderator
After you have submitted your form, your allocated moderator will contact you to make arrangements for your moderation visit. We aim to have all visits arranged by 15 March, when visits can start taking place. The earliest your moderator will contact you is 1 March.
Making entries and submitting marks
If you haven’t yet made your entries, these must be submitted by the deadline of 21 February. For support on making entries, please see the OCR website and the entry codes booklet.
Once you have made your entries, you will be able to submit your marks. The earliest you’ll be able to submit marks is early February. We will let you know when the systems are open to submit your marks:
- Component marks – You need to submit component marks via Interchange or EDI, see our website for details.
- Activity marks – Complete the PE activity marks submission forms, see our subject update for details.
All marks must be submitted by the relevant deadline:
- 15 March – GCSE, AS and A Level
- 15 May – Entry Level
GCSE, AS and A Level only: Sending filmed evidence to OCR
New for this year, we are asking you to send a copy of the following to OCR rather than your moderator:
- GCSE, AS and A Level off-site filmed evidence and associated logbooks – every candidate (if you cannot film your candidates you may not enter them for that sport)
- AS and A Level sample of on-site filmed evidence – at least eight candidate performances, across at least three activities, encompassing a range of marks – ideally top, middle and lowest mark in each of the three activities.
Please send these by 15 March to OCR PE Filmed Evidence, Post Assessment Services, DC10, Hill Farm Road, Whittlesford, Cambridge CB22 4FZ – you’ll receive address labels for this at the start of March.
For full details of this and other filming requirements, please see the OCR website.
