The Department for Education’s consultation on the approved list of sports
Further to our previous communication, we wanted to let you know that the Department for Education has published its response to its review of the GCSE and AS and A Level physical education activity lists. It has also published the revised version of the activity lists which include the new sports that can be taken for GCSE and AS and A Level.
These sports will be available for all students starting their GCSE, AS or A Level course in September 2020. We are updating our non-examination assessment guide to include the marking criteria for the new activities in light of these revisions, and will communicate these updates to you shortly.
