We have updated the specifications for GCSE, AS and A Level Latin and Classical Greek to include the fifth cycle of set texts and topics:

GCSE Latin J282 and Classical Greek J292

• See page 8 and page 9 of the GCSE Latin specification for details of the set texts and topics which will be examined in 2027 and 2028.
• See page 8 and page 9 the GCSE Classical Greek, specification for details of the set texts and topics which will be examined in 2027 and 2028.

AS Level Latin H043 and Classical Greek H044

• See page 8 of the AS Level Latin specification for details of the set texts which will be examined in 2026 and 2027.
• See page 8 of the AS Level Classical Greek specification for details of the set texts which will be examined in 2026 and 2027.

A Level Latin H443 and Classical Greek H444

• See page 10 and page 12 of the A Level Latin specification for details of the set texts which will be examined in 2027 and 2028. Please note that Livy and Ovid will remain the unseen authors for the unseen translation paper (H443/01).
• See page 10 and page 12 of the A Level Classical Greek specification for details of the set texts which will be examined in 2027 and 2028. For the unseen translation paper (H444/01), the unseen prose author will be Xenophon and the unseen verse author will be Euripides – iambic trimeter.
