A Level Latin and A Level Classical Greek literature question papers
28 April 2023
To provide extra clarity for students, as part of our accessibility principles, we've made some changes to a rubric in the literature question papers for A Level Latin (H443) and A Level Classical Greek (H444).
In Section C of the Verse Literature and Prose Literature question papers, the rubric for the essay questions will now read as follows:
A Level Latin (H443/03 and H443/04)
- ‘You must use material from parts of the text that you have studied in English where relevant, as well as parts you have read in Latin.’
A Level Classical Greek (H444/03 and H444/04)
- ‘You must use material from parts of the text that you have studied in English where relevant, as well as parts you have read in Greek.’
We've made this small change to make sure students are clearer on our expectations of their responses. The updated text reflects how the live question papers will look in the June 2023 exam series.
Please note, we have not changed the fundamentals of what the question requires, and no additional preparation is required for your students.
Our aim is to ensure that no student is disadvantaged by not being able to access questions or tasks in an assessment. Our principles are based on feedback from teachers, our own technical research and have been written in collaboration with accessibility organisations. We continually review our principles to ensure they meet the latest research and feedback.
