Updated submission options for general qualification NEA components
08 December 2023
This update was first published on 17 July 2023. We've now updated the specifications for AS and A Level Physical Education to include the new moderated upload option Submit for Assessment, see the links to these updated specifications below.
If you’re delivering any of our general qualifications with non-examined assessment (NEA) components, from the summer 2024 series, you’ll be able to use our new digital submission service, Submit for Assessment, to upload your students’ work. This service is already available for our moderated Cambridge Nationals qualifications.
Submit for Assessment replaces OCR Repository for the submission of moderation samples, so when making entries for June 2024, you’ll be able to choose the ‘Moderated upload’ or the ‘Moderated postal’ option, depending on your preference.
We’ve amended our specifications to reflect this change. In sections 4a and 4d of each specification (4a and 4c for the Entry Level and EPQ specifications), we state students’ work for moderated units can be uploaded to OCR using our new Submit for Assessment service or sent by post.
You can view our amended specifications below:

You can also view and download the amended specifications from the qualification pages on our website and from Teach Cambridge.
Please note, we are not changing the fundamentals of the NEA – no additional preparation is required and there is no change in the approach to marking.
Submit for Assessment is one of the services available via our single sign-on service, My Cambridge. We’ll provide further information and support on how to use Submit for Assessment in October 2023.
