Details of the GCSE, AS and A Level exam series in autumn 2021 were confirmed in May and we summarised the key points. Grades will be determined on student performance in exams only; there will be no non-exam assessments (NEA). The exception is art and design where we will set and mark a new task to determine a student's grade (see below).

Although exams will be in their normal format, there are a limited number of qualifications where there are changes to assessment for the Autumn 2021 exam series. These were carried over from adaptations proposed for exams in summer 2021.

For all other general qualifications not mentioned above there will be no changes to the assessment for autumn 2021.
