As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the accessibility in our assessment materials, we've updated the following sample question papers and mark schemes for GCSE Physical Education:

• Physical factors affecting performance – J587/01
• Socio-cultural issues and sports psychology – J587/02

Some of the changes include minor updates to the layout of our question papers and the use of accessible language. These sample assessment materials now reflect the style and layout of our latest live assessments.

Please note, there is no change to the assessment or to the nature or demand of the questions in these assessments.

The updated sample assessment materials are now available for you to use in mock exams with your students. You can view and download the updated sample assessment materials from:

• the Assessment > Sample assessment materials section of the GCSE Physical Education qualification page on our website.
• the Assessment > Exams > Sample assessment materials section of Teach Cambridge.

If you’re using our ExamBuilder service, these updates will be reflected in the test materials for GCSE Physical Education later this term.
