Updated candidate authentication statements
30 November 2023
For our Cambridge Nationals, Cambridge Technicals and general qualifications, we've updated our candidate authentication statements to include artificial intelligence (AI) tools as a resource which might be used by students.
Before submitting their work, each candidate must sign a declaration to confirm the work is their own and any assistance given and/or sources used, including AI tools, have been acknowledged.
You can download the sample candidate authentication statements below:
You can access the forms above from our Forms finder tool when selecting a qualification and subject with moderated units or components. They are also available in the Assessment > Forms section on Teach Cambridge.
You can use the updated candidate authentication statement forms from the January 2024 series onwards.
Remember, it is the responsibility of centres to make sure every candidate signs a declaration before submitting their work.
These statements should be retained within your centre until any reviews of results, malpractice and appeals issues have been resolved.
If you have any queries about this update, please call our Customer Support Centre on 01223 553998 or email support@ocr.org.uk.
