Cambridge Technicals: Submitting animation as evidence for moderation
17 February 2021
In addition to our guidance on uploading digital evidence for Cambridge Technical units, we have some suggestions on how you can upload animation for moderation.
Our new digital submission platform, Secure Exchange, does not support the uploading of raw animation files, so if you need to submit animation as evidence within student portfolios, we'd like to offer some alternative suggestions that may help. You could try one of the following methods:
- Export the animation as a digital video file.
- Record a video of the animation and post the video to Secure Exchange.
- Use screen capture software to record the animation running.
- Share the screen during the moderation MS Teams meeting, so that the moderator can view the animation running.
If you decide to export or record student animation files into video formats such as MPEG (*.mpg, *.mp4), QuickTime Movie (*.mov) or Windows Media Video (*.wmv), we recommend that you view our summer 2021 guidance on accepted file formats for digital submissions. This document provides details of the acceptable file formats which can be submitted to the Secure Exchange system, as well as the maximum file size limit.
The two guidance documents mentioned above can also be viewed from the Administration > Key documents section of the following qualification pages:
