Cambridge Nationals arrangements for summer 2025

In October, Ofqual confirmed the arrangements to ensure the timely delivery of results for students taking vocational qualifications this academic year will continue as business as usual.
These include a term-time checkpoint for schools and colleges to confirm which students need a result in August to progress to higher or further education and issuing results with enough time to check and prepare them for final release to students.
For Cambridge Nationals, there is no change to the published administrative arrangements. Read on for the key points which apply to all students expecting a result in summer 2025.
Term-time checkpoint
The certification entries you make to let us know students are ready to complete their qualification form the term-time checkpoint.
Certification entries should be made at the same time as your unit entries for the June series, by 21 February 2025. If you are waiting for the January results release in March to decide when to certificate, any remaining certification entries for summer 2025 should be made by the unit resit deadline of 4 April. You must make sure all students who need results to progress in summer 2025 have a certification entry.
The terminal rule
You must make sure all students meet the terminal rule. If you do not enter students for the exam in their final series, the students are not eligible for a qualification result. Centres that disadvantage students who are expecting a result in their final series may be subject to a maladministration investigation. Resolving queries
We will aim to resolve all queries during term time. If we have outstanding queries during the summer holidays, and students are at risk of not receiving a result, we will use the JCQ senior designated contact(s) for your school or college. It’s therefore important to make sure you provide at least one contact who is available to manage emergency requests during the summer holidays.
Issuing results
Results will continue to be issued at the same time as GCSE results. In summer 2025, results will be issued on 20 August for release to students on 21 August.
