Access to Scripts is our free, on-demand service for general qualifications and Cambridge Nationals, which is available via our single sign-on service, My Cambridge.
From candidate results days, exams officers can use Access to Scripts to download copies of students’ completed question papers or ‘scripts’, so schools and colleges can decide whether to request a review of marking, and to support teaching and learning.
Please note: The scripts available to download via Access to Scripts should not be confused with a ‘copy of a reviewed script’, which you can request when you submit a request for a clerical check or review of marking.
Remember, you must have written permission from students before you can access the scripts.
Log into Access to Scripts. You can either do this by logging into My Cambridge at sso.cambridge.org and clicking on the ‘Access to Scripts’ tile or by going directly to Access to Scripts at https://accesstoscripts.cambridgeassessment.org.uk
If you are an exams officer and have not set up your My Cambridge account, please go to the My Cambridge web page for more details.
Once you have set up your My Cambridge account, if one of the links above doesn't work, please contact us.
If you manage multiple centres, once you've logged in, make sure you have selected the correct centre. Access to Scripts remembers the last centre you logged in to.
After you log in, you will see a welcome page which shows the recent, current and upcoming series and when the scripts will be available within the series. If the series is ‘open’, click ‘Open series’.
Select ‘Search by candidate’ to search by candidate name or candidate number, or select ‘Search by qualification’ to search by qualification name, assessment name or assessment number. You will see all the qualifications you have results for.
You can download scripts:
The ‘Download again’ button appears if you've already downloaded the candidates' script.
You will see the message 'Script is unavailable' next to the candidate's name if:
If you have any queries about unavailable scripts, please email us at accesstoscripts2@ocr.org.uk. Please include the qualification and candidate details so we can investigate this for you.
If a script could not be scanned, eg A3 modified or braille scripts, a ‘placeholder’ will be made available to download – in these cases, please contact us.
For some components, the type of assessment means there is no script, see the components excluded from our Access to Scripts service.
You need to confirm you have the written permission from the student(s) to download the script and this was given after they received their results.
Click the box and then click the ‘Confirm and download’ button.
If you download scripts individually, they will download as a PDF file. If you download more than one script, they will download as a zip file containing your PDFs.
Please save your files to a suitable location. You will not be able to download the scripts after the ‘availability’ of the series expires.
