A candidate’s final results will be recorded on an OCR certificate and sent to your centre according to the conditions of issue.
If you require certificates to be delivered to a different centre address (for example, due to a centre closure), please email your request on centre-headed paper to ocr.results@ocr.org.uk.
Once enough units have been completed, qualification grades will be issued automatically and will be available to view on Interchange. Cambridge Technicals certificates are issued five working days after results are published. In the June series, we send them to arrive on the same day as EDI files are issued.
Before certificates are issued, please check candidates’ details are correct. The certificate is not intended to be used as a final administrative check.
When certificates are issued, please check you have received certificates for all candidates on the control report which accompanies the certificates.
For Cambridge Technicals (2012 suite), unit certificates are issued automatically.
For Cambridge Technicals (2016 suite), we don't automatically issue unit certificates. These can be provided on request for those candidates who do not achieve a full award. They are free of charge for the first two years following the original qualification entry.
If you would like to request a unit certificate, email vqprocessing@ocr.org.uk with the candidate name, number and entry code.
For vocational qualifications, we can provide replacement certificates to centres for:
If requests are made within three months of the certificate issue date, replacements will be provided free of charge. Please email your request to vqprocessing@ocr.org.uk or post your request and certificate to OCR, Bourn, 4th Floor, Manor House Drive, Coventry CV1 2TG.
A fee is charged for each replacement certificate more than three months after the date of issue. Please see the fees list. Please email your request to VQCertReplacement@ocr.org.uk or post your request letter and certificate to: Certificate Replacement Service, OCR, The Triangle Building, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge, CB2 8EA.
If you are a candidate, please make a request through your centre or use the relevant application form which is available from the students area.
If you have a student who has sadly passed away, we are able to issue an honorary certificate. This is not an award of a real qualification but is an acknowledgement that a candidate who is not able to complete a qualification and who is not able to progress to the next stage in education is likely to have achieved a certain grade. This is different to a statement of recognition.
If you are aware of this situation before you have made entries, you do not need to make entries for the student. If you have made entries, you should withdraw them to avoid a situation where a real (and non-reflective) result is issued. If you think you have a candidate for whom a honorary certificate may be appropriate, please email the OCR special requirements team at srteam@ocr.org.uk with the following details:
