Ofqual has confirmed the regulatory frameworks and guidance for awarding general, and vocational and technical qualifications this academic year, following earlier consultations.

These extraordinary regulatory rules will put the policy decisions into effect for this summer – allowing students to receive grades determined by teachers and based only on what they have been taught.

Final versions of Ofqual’s Guidance for Heads of Centre and Information About Making Objective Judgements have also been published following the same consultation.

The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) has also published detailed guidance for schools and colleges to support the delivery of teacher assessed grades in summer 2021.
