Cambridge University Press & Assessment which includes OCR, Cambridge International Education and Cambridge Mathematics, has submitted its response to the Department for Education’s consultation on the Advanced British Standard (ABS).

This consultation provides an important contribution to the debate about the future of 16-19 education in England.

Our response calls for:

• Increased contact time
• Faster reform in English and maths
• Retaining the A Level name
• Protection for vocational quality
• Support for student mental health and wellbeing.
