Myles became Managing Director of Cambridge OCR in September 2025, bringing over 25 years' experience in education to the role. As Managing Director Myles is driving Cambridge OCR’s mission to make assessment straightforward, so that each student has the chance to show their true ability. Myles has taken on the role at a crucial time for education in England, with reforms planned to curriculum and assessment. Myles was closely involved in Cambridge OCR’s work to successfully inform the government’s plans to improve education, and is now helping the organisation work with government, regulator, and experts to ensure these reforms reflect the needs of students and teachers.
Joining in August 2019, Myles led Cambridge OCR's regulatory compliance, quality management and governance. He was also Responsible Officer, working closely with regulators and ensuring the awarding organisation delivered fair and consistent assessments.
Myles' experience in leading teams in the education services sector has often focused on developing products that help learners and teachers realise their potential. These have spanned academic and vocational qualifications, digital qualifications services, published resources and professional development. Before joining Cambridge OCR, Myles was at education company Pearson, ultimately as Product Director for vocational qualifications. He began his career as an English language teacher before moving into educational publishing.
