For the Entry Level Physical Education (R463) qualification, students complete Practical Performance and Analysing Performance tasks which are internally assessed and externally moderated.
You must submit entries by 21 February. For support on making entries, see the entry codes booklet for general qualifications.
When making entries for Entry Level Physical Education, candidates must only be entered for one of the following three options:
Whichever moderation method you’ve chosen, you must still complete a visit arrangement form, see below.
Whichever moderation method you’ve chosen, you need to tell us which practical activities your students have chosen.
You can do this by completing the visit arrangement form by 21 February.
The visit arrangement form is available from OCR PE Submissions, a new area within our single sign-on service, My Cambridge. We've provided details on how to submit the visit arrangement form in our subject update.
If you’ve chosen the visiting moderation option, after you have submitted your form, your allocated moderator will contact you arrange either moderation by filmed evidence or live moderation with a suggested date, time, and venue for the moderation visit.
We aim to have all visits arranged by 15 March, when visits can start taking place. The earliest your moderator will contact you is 1 March.
Once you have made your entries, you will be able to submit your marks. The earliest you’ll be able to submit marks is early February.
We will let you know when the systems are open to submit your marks:
For Entry Level Physical Education, all component and activity marks must be submitted by 15 May.
Not submitting marks by the deadline puts students at risk of not receiving their results on results day and may prompt a malpractice investigation.
You will not receive a sample request for Entry Level Physical Education. Once you've submitted marks (by 15 May), a moderator will contact your centre to request moderation samples, see above.
For the digital upload and postal moderation options, you must submit the following:
For postal moderation, all filmed and written evidence should be sent by 15 May to OCR PE Filmed Evidence, Post Assessment Services, DC10, Hill Farm Road, Whittlesford, Cambridge CB22 4FZ.
For visiting moderation, the sample of learners’ work will be moderated by live performance. If you are submitting marks in activities which cannot be moderated live, a sample of filmed evidence for each activity should be made available to the moderator on your moderation day.
For further guidance on filmed evidence, see Appendix C of the Entry Level guide to non-exam assessment available on our Entry Level PE qualification page and Teach Cambridge.
